100% Renewable Energy and Poverty Reduction In Tanzania

The workshop kicked-off an 18-month project, aiming at exploring the feasibility of 100% Renewable Energy (RE) pathways and its implications for Tanzania’s Sustainable Low Carbon Development and Poverty Reduction Goals. This project builds on the experiences of previous activities in which the three project partners have been engaged in the past years. The idea is to develop a platform to enhance the policy dialogue across sectors and governance levels on this topic. The workshop brought together 15 Tanzanian thought-leaders from government, academia, media and civil society to identify opportunities for policy change on the particular topic.
